The Damage Waiver (DW) is an optional protection plan available for purchase at the time of rental. It is not insurance, but rather a secondary coverage plan that may reduce your financial responsibility for certain accidental damages incurred during the rental period. Coverage Provided If the DW is purchased, it may cover incidental and accidental damage to the trailer, up to $500, that is not typically covered by standard automobile or commercial insurance policies. Important Conditions The DW is optional and is not required in order to rent. The DW does not cover: Lost or damaged keys or key fobs Theft of the trailer or equipment Damages caused by negligence or misuse Tire damage or blowouts Damage caused by: An authorized driver acting intentionally Willful or wanton misconduct Operating the trailer in violation of the rental agreement Limitations The Damage Waiver is secondary coverage. This means it applies only after your primary insurance has been applied and only to eligible incidental damages up to the $500 limit. Any breach of the rental agreement may void the coverage provided by the DW. The DW does not relieve the renter of liability for prohibited uses or gross negligence.
